You are being invited to take part in a market research survey. Before you decide it is important for you to understand why the survey is being done and what it will involve. Please take time to read the following information carefully and discuss it with others if you wish.
Please ask if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information. Our email address is hello@phlyxr.com. Take time to decide whether or not you wish to take part.
Thank you for reading this.
Do I have to take part?
It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you do decide to take part you can copy this information page to keep and be asked to give electronic consent in the first question. If you decide to take part you are still free to withdraw at any time and without giving a reason.
What is the purpose of the survey?
The purpose of this market research survey is to determine whether there is demand for a contraceptive gel lubricant that can prevent STI spread (transmission) between sexually active individuals.
The ingredients contained in the gel have been shown in research to bind and block the parts of viruses and bacteria that would give them entry into cells (causing infection), therefore preventing infection.
The STIs it may prevent include: - Chlamydia - Gonorrhoea - HIV - HPV - HSV
The device also has the potential to act as a non-invasive and non-hormonal contraceptive, this is a secondary purpose. It would provide additional security and peace of mind in certain circumstances, such as condom failure.
For such a device to be developed, there must be demand for it and the market size for this device must be determined. This includes market demographics and whether potential users would be willing to try such a device.
Why have I been invited?
The link to this market research survey is publicly available and is to be shared on social media channels as well other, appropriate areas of the internet. The aim is to collect as many responses as possible to determine if there's a large enough market for this product.
What will happen to me if I take part?
